Smooth flowcharter
Smooth Flow Charter is software for drawing and creating charts to help IT professionals and business users to visualize complex information. It transforms complex text and tables that are hard to understand into diagrams and let people view the information at a glance. Best known paid software to do this flowcharting job is Microsoft Office Visio.
Smooth Flow Charter is a good replacement for Microsoft Office Visio. It is not as extensive as Visio, but much easier to use and much less expensive. You can download it from PC Magazine and it costs about 8 dollar. Although that’s not free, it’s the cheapest alternative we could find for the much more expensive Visio.
Using Smooth Flow Charter is simple and easy and lets you make your first chart in no time. You select the objects you want on the left of the screen, than drag the mouse to the big screen and you can place them wherever you want. There are 3 categories of ready-made objects. You can link objects to each other (eg in a network diagram) by dragging the so-called hook points.
If you’re happy with your created chart you can also export it as a POISON, BMP, JPG, TIFF, or PNG image. With the Copy button you have the option to copy your chart to the Windows clipboard and paste it eg in Word.
