BurnAware is an excellent allround burn program that burns data on Blue-rays and HD-DVDs.
BurnAware is slightly ahead of it’s time. Although there are already players for Blue-rays and HD-DVDs, these are still relatively expensive. Because at the moment no one knows, which of these technologies will prevail, the free allround burning software BurnAware simply supports both.
The program creates Audio CD’s, DVD’s or image discs. With the straightforward navigation you reach your goal with a few clicks. As this freeware strictly is limited to burning, you don’t have to wade through a lot of functions like in Nero.
Conclusion: Although BurnAware is still in the beta stage, we are very convinced by the program. The only weak point: when you select the wrong function from the main menu , a restart of the software is needed. Unfortunately there is no possibility to return to the main menu.
